Was recommended this place for Sunday lunch so decided to give it a try Managed to park despite car park being a bit small - keep preserving if you can’t park as it will be worth it. Lovely surroundings , cozy and warm atmosphere The service was excellent , prompt and friendly Food arrived and it was perfect , Roast Pork lunches followed by cheesecake and Salted Caramel Sundae Very tasty, plenty of food at a sensible price Can’t wait to come back !

What a lovely gem of a pub. I had the 3 course special,at 16 I think it was and before 5pm only. My partner had the 2 courses at £14. Very clean fast service and lovely staff. We will be going back and maybe try a cocktail which are very reasonable priced I thought. Good selection of wines to. Gluten free drinks a couple I noticed. Even vegetarian meals on the menu. See you soon 😊

Stayed at the Rose and Crown and really enjoyed the charm of this small country stay! The pub was exactly as we imagined, old and charming with great food and prices along with friendly staff. Service wasn’t super fast but we were never rushing and the food was worth waiting for. Particularly the starter share plate. If staying and eating there too the patio and green space across the street is a fabulous place to soak up the sun or watch the sunset and is perfect for kids too. Lots of stairs to the rooms so beware to pack light but rooms were clean, quaint and cute!

Wonderful pub and restaurant. Went on a Saturday night and shown to a table quickly. Service is great, friendly and quick. I had lamb kofta to start which was amazing the highlight of the meal. For my main I had the surf and turf which was tasty. Finished with the chocolate brownie Sunday which was a great way to finish. Highly recommended

We were very impressed. The service was faultless even though it was a busy Friday night. All the staff were pleasant. The food was also faultless, really excellent and very good value for money. I am usually known to be a bit of a moaner but I have absolutely no complaints. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Never ever change!!! Very impressed.

Signature burger; good blend of the juices of the meat and sweetness of the chutney. Chips & Coleslaw nothing special, and the building was quite hot.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Rose & Crown last night, Friday 1 December…great welcome from Molly. Had a drink in the cosy bar before Molly fetched us to our table. Food was nice, service was excellent, cocktails were good. All the we met staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Molly and Alfie who were also very professional. The 30% off main meals was an added bonus. Staff like Alfie and Molly are priceless…I would hang on to them if I were the brewery…Will definitely revisit.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very cheery, with lovely decorations throughout. The food was lovely and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I know it is a hotel and I will definitely be recommending it to friends and family looking for somewhere to stay. Thank you for helping to make Mums Christmas a special one.
